Allegheny Gator AthleticsAllegheny College Wise Center (indoor), also Robertson Field (outdoor) Allegheny College hosts a variety of competitive and engaging Division III college athletic events. From football to tennis, basketball to cross-country, there is something for everyone to see. For those interested in fast-paced entertainment, this is the stop for you! Also, don’t be surprised if you get a hug and a shake from Chompers, the Allegheny mascot, while you are there! All outdoor athletic events are free except football, and some indoor events require a small fee for non-students. |
“Human Race” 5K Road Race Event Diamond Park This 5K road-running race is a laid-back family and competitive friendly event with several exciting categories broken by age groups with scores of free gifts after the races are over! Spend this Memorial Day a special way and join in on the race! Registration is free and the race starts at 8:00 AM sharp! |
Meadville Area Recreation Complex800 Thurston Rd. Stuck inside with the winter blues? Make your way down to the MARC and bring your friends or family too! One of the highlights of the winter season here in Meadville is the indoor ice skating rink down at the MARC. For just a few bucks you can rent skates and spend hours on the ice, whether you are a beginner or an expert! Teach your kids a dying art form, or bring a date for a fun night out! In the warmer months, the MARC offers a wide range of services as well, including a sand volleyball area, kid’s water park, and athletic fields. There’s always an indoor pool to escape to as well! |
“Tour de Tamarack” Bike Race Tamarack Lake 9:00 AM (Adult start time); 11:30 AM (Children start time) The “Tour de Tamarack” is a fun-filled, family, spectator and competitor friendly, annual spirited bike race around the beautiful Tamarack Lake. Held the first Sunday each September, the weather and aesthetics are guaranteed to be at their best! $18 registration fee. |
