Spend Father’s Day a whole new way this year! Allegheny College hosts this fly-in of over thirty balloons. Check out the ‘night glow,’ a spectacular display of illuminated balloons. Pilots take off from and attempt to land at Robertson Field. Bring the kids and grandma for a family-friendly treat!! It’s always a blast to guess how many balloons will return and what happened to those who don’t! Bring a picnic lunch and stay all afternoon.

This biennial late-November event is not something to miss! Tour the historic Baldwin-Reynolds House, decorated for the Holiday Season with live Christmas trees in every room. This event is a real treat for anyone interested in American culture before European influence. First, you must try the Buffalo burgers! Bison meat, as you will learn, is actually healthier for you than beef, chicken, pork, or lamb! Opening ceremonies start at noon, and be sure to stick around for the Native American dances. Bring some extra money and peruse the displays of Native American jewelry, Bison teeth, clothing, dream-catchers, and more!
