Before his death in 1816, Mead saw a library, college, several carding mills, a turnpike, schools, bridges, courthouse, arsenal, church, and newspaper take life. Today the cabin represents the roots of Pennsylvania’s Old Northwest and as a living memorial both to the city’s founder and to a dedicated city official. Free to enter! |
