Music is only one offering of the Centerstage series. Don’t miss the only opportunity to see national and international talent in Meadville. Typically each season features 5 performances ranging from dance to live concerts, acrobats to circus thertre. Recent guests were the Cleveland-based musicians “Red: an orchestra,” and dance troupe, “Koresh.” Allegheny students, seniors, children, and full subscribers receive special discount!

A cornucopia of events throughout the school year! Each student ensemble, including wind, orchestral, and choral, performs at least once per semester, with senior recitals filling most spring weekends. A community favorite is the choral concert that features townspeople and students together on stage. All events are open to the public and are family friendly. Look for performances of the most famous music of all time by Mozart, Bach and Beethoven, as well as contemporary and student composed pieces.

The Gardner Theater is a multipurpose space dedicated to exhibition of art of all types. Look for events throughout the year, especially a weekend with the Allegheny Jazz Society in May. This unique weekend of performances will be recorded for a live album release late in 2006. Seating is limited to fewer than 100 guests, so book your tickets early! Special Rates have been arranged with the Holiday Inn Express in Meadville for the two day event. A true opportunity for awesome music in an intimate setting!

A celebration of bluegrass music open to the public the third weekend each January. Come watch more than 10 performers and bands from Northwestern PA and beyond! Warm your heart during a cold Meadville winter weekend with the smooth sounds of bluegrass guitar and vocals. Special rates for rooms at the Days Inn are available for those who want to heat up an icy January weekend!

Come to the fair for the food, the fun, and the entertainment of some big names in music. August 2005 graced our fair with the vocal mastery of Toby Keith and Clay Aiken, among other performances. 2006 promises a repeat knock-out with Brooks & Dunn, Steve Miller Band, and Keith Urban. We boast the largest agricultural fair in Pennsylvania, and let’s not forget about the monster truck show, horse riding competitions, and local agricultural competitions. Where else can you see the state’s largest pumpkin and award winning country music stars? The fair takes place the third week of August and admission is only three dollars!
